Doesn't Feel Like a Holiday...

Happy Presidents Day to my American friends. Happy Monday to the folks across the pond.

I started and finished a mini baby quilt this weekend. It is the perfect size for a newborn girl and will later become a much-loved blankie. My daughter has never carried a blankie around like I did when I was a child. Her grandmother (my MIL) asked me the other day if she ever carries around a blankie. I guess she was wrapping her jacket around her like a blankie the other night when she was visiting at Grandmas. Anyhow, I know most children carry a lovey or a blankie at some point and I just love this one.

Again, I've used the Children at Play fabrics. I just love them so much.

It is backed in a light pink flannel to make it soft and cuddly. There is also a cute little ric rac trim along the top and bottom of the quilt.

I think it gives the quilt a little added element of fun. The quilt is for sale in my Etsy shop here.

I still have some Children at Play left over so I want to make Aubrielle a version of this quilt, too. Maybe larger. Who knows, maybe the next baby will be a girl. I don't know yet! At the last ultrasound the baby's legs were crossed so we couldn't see. Hopefully at the anatomy scan on March 8th the baby won't be so shy.

Here is another quilt blankie I started this weekend.

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I'll be back soon with more stuff!
