A Brights-Filled Day

Have you ever seen one of these? A Fortune Teller Miracle Fish? I had not until today. I received it along with lots of other bright fun stuff in my order from Zipit.

You place the fish in the palm of your hand and however it moves is what your fortune is. It's pretty cool. I mean, what possibly makes it move and what determines how it moves? It's a mystery unknown to me. However, according to the magical fortune telling fish, I am indifferent. I think there could be some truth to that.

Here's what else came with my free fortune from Zipit....

Of course I've been admiring all the pretty little pouch swaps and the goodie bag swaps. I wanted to try it for myself. I'm also conjuring up ideas for my PIFs

I did some cutting into my Dream On stash today. I cut into a FQ of a Sugar Pop print, too. I am using this tutorial at bijou lovely for a herringbone block. I'm going to make a pillow using the block.

All in all it was a good day (other than the fact that Aubrielle has been boycotting naps).

  1. Gosh I remember those fish, probably from Christmas crackers. I think itsthe heat of your hand that makes them move. the zipsare great. A friend got a whole box of black and White ones years ago - she stitched them together in dozens, to make a sort of square, alternating the open end, joined the first to the last, and stitched the ends shut - a make up / pencil case which could be opened anywhere!

  2. Yay - we used to buy those all the time when I was little!

So many zippers - makes me scared just looking at them!! I'm sure I learnt how to put a zip in when I was at school, but I haven't tried since!!
